Fooled by the stupid
In a world where the foolish lead and the wise watch helplessly, we must ask: How did we get here? And are we all part of the problem?
Stupidity is everywhere. Like gravity, it's a force of nature we must deal with daily. No amount of education, wealth, or social progress seems to diminish its presence. What makes it worse is how it resists all logic and reason.
Look around. Fools sit in corner offices. They run companies, make laws, and shape culture. Smart people built these systems, thinking other smart people would run them. But being smart doesn't guarantee power. Often, the loudest and most confident win instead.
How did we get here? Social media gave everyone a megaphone. The loudest voices, not the wisest ones, shape what people believe. False ideas spread online, creating tribes that reinforce wrong beliefs. Likes and shares matter more than facts. Emotion trumps truth.
How might we fix this? Are we all a part of the problem? So many questions. Too much noise. How do we start?
