The daily post

Writing daily sounds noble, but sometimes a fun thing can turn into a burden.

I did not write today. Not yet. The blank page waits. It is good work, this writing, and I want to do it. But no money comes from it. No editor waits. No deadline looms.

The professionals write because they must. Their words keep the lights on. My words today went to clients who pay. Good work. Clean work. The kind that lets you sleep well. But now the evening comes, and the question of the blog sits heavy.

Some say write every day. Seinfeld had his chain. But chains can bind. A day without written words is not defeat. It is just a day. And here I am, writing about not writing, and that is enough.
